Ok, so this "roach motel" like many in the area are mainly consumed by labor workers or truck drivers of some sort. The room smelled horrible, there were ants on the walls and I woke up in the middle of the night only to step on a huge madagascar looking roach. Completely grossed out!! The room looked like something out of a 60's thriller movie, i was expecting to find dead hooker in the closet. Needless to stay next time i'll be making the extra drive and paying the extra money to stay @ the Holiday Inn a few miles down the road. $75 bucks wasted!!! And the Indian owners were as equally unpleasant.. Do not recommend!!
Not your Hilton appearance from the outside. Friendly front desk staff. Very reasonable price. Rooms are newly remodeled, bathroom nicely tiled; floor and wall. Beautiful sink and room furniture. Clean, clean!! Covered parking. Great stay experience definately have found my hole in the wall 5 star hotel.
Old establishment yet extremely well maintained. Visited in early summer 2017. Rooms and entire motel looked newly remodeled. Only two rooms have adjoining walls with a large carport in between each two rooms. This is the first time in ANY hotel that we can breathe comfortably, inhale and the place smelled clean and fresh (and this is comparing to high priced 5 star hotels!) The carpet was clean. We all have allergies and don't fare well with carpeted high trafficked rooms; however, we slept comfortable in this place. The restroom is also newly remodeled, spacious, and clean. Beds equally comfortable and clean. And black out curtains truly did their job. We ended up oversleeping! We woke up well rested. The owners were amazingly nice, even educating us about the place being used to film a scene for the movie "Selena" based on the late singer Selena Quintanilla Perez. Highly recommend. We stopped on our way to San Antonio. Decently priced at $50 per night and it is only about 30-45 minutes from San Antonio.
