Once I actually got into the store after committing the grave sin of walking through the mopped area, the selection was pathetic. I found myself looking around for another room or section, thinking "this is it?". There are gas stations that have a better selection and certainly even a grocery store or even, god forbid, a Walmart probably carries more. But it's a small town.
I reckon this place stays in business because it's the only option for this town. That's too bad. I'm glad that will be the only time I'm ever in that place. Crummy selection, crummy attitudes, just crummy all the way around. It's a glorified Circle K.
Then, upon making my selection (which was 3rd or 4th down the line of preference), I got no greeting whatsoever at the register. I interrupted her money counting. The only thing mumbled the whole time was "credit or debit"? But she had no problem talking up the regular who came in and slowing down my transaction. Not a word. So yes, even if you're forced to go to a Walmart, you'll at least get some kind of greeting, even if it's obnoxious.
I'm not from around here but here on business. I pity those in this town where this place is probably one of the few options.
Low prices very low
I walked in an hour before closing time and they were already mopping up. As soon as I walked in, I got a dirty look from the employee who was mopping the entrance. I guess they already had their 10 customers today and weren't expecting an 11th.
